Week 12: Carried Forward in Christ
"Carried Forward in Christ" Hebrews 5:11-6:3
Day 1 — Wake Up to the Word
Read: Hebrews 5:11–14
Reflect: Dull hearing is not a lack of information but a sluggish response to truth. God’s Word trains discernment as we repeatedly receive and practice it. Jesus never suffered from dull obedience; He heard and perfectly did the Father’s will on behalf of His people.
Respond: Name one truth you already know but have delayed obeying. Write one specific action that would embody faith today.
Pray: Lord Jesus, forgive my slow response to Your Word. Because Your obedience is counted as mine, free me from hiding and train me to obey with trust and joy. Amen.

Day 2 — Build on the Foundation
Read: Hebrews 6:1; 1 Corinthians 3:11
Reflect: Christian maturity never moves beyond Jesus; it moves more deeply into Him. A foundation is not discarded when a house rises. Everything is aligned to it. Christ’s person and finished work determine the shape of every part of the Christian life.
Respond: Consider one area—work, family, money, suffering, or decision-making. Ask: “If Christ’s grace is the foundation, what should be built here?”
Pray: Father, keep me from novelty without truth and familiarity without growth. Build my life on Christ alone and make His grace visible in my choices. Amen.

Day 3 — Turn from Dead Works
Read: Hebrews 6:1; Hebrews 9:13–14
Reflect: Dead works cannot cleanse the conscience or earn God’s welcome. Christ offered Himself without blemish, and His blood purifies His people for living service. Repentance releases every false savior; faith rests in God’s sufficient Son.
Respond: Identify one achievement, religious habit, or moral comparison you use to reassure yourself. Confess it as an inadequate refuge, then thank Christ for His sufficient righteousness.
Pray: Living God, turn me from every work I use to justify myself. Cleanse my conscience through Christ and make my service the grateful fruit of acceptance, never an attempt to purchase it. Amen.

Day 4 — Live in Resurrection Hope
Read: Hebrews 6:2; 1 Corinthians 15:20–22
Reflect: Jesus’ resurrection guarantees that death will not have the final word over those united to Him. Eternal judgment means evil matters and justice will come. At the same time, the believer’s Judge is the Savior who bore condemnation at the cross.
Respond: Bring one fear about death, injustice, or the future before the risen Christ. Write one sentence describing how resurrection hope changes your response today.
Pray: Risen Lord, steady me with the promise of resurrection. Help me take sin seriously, endure suffering faithfully, and face the future without condemnation because I am in You. Amen.

Day 5 — Be Carried Forward
Read: Hebrews 6:3; Philippians 2:12–13
Reflect: Scripture calls us to active obedience while confessing that God works in us. “If God permits” is not an excuse to wait; it is a reason to pray and proceed humbly. Growth is dependent diligence in the fellowship of Christ’s people.
Respond: Choose one attainable practice for the next month: regular Scripture meditation, prayer with another believer, confession of a recurring sin, service in the church, or reconciliation with someone. Share it with a trusted Christian.
Pray: God of grace, will and work in me for Your good pleasure. Carry me forward through Your Word, Spirit, and people. Keep me humble in dependence and earnest in obedience, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
